Dean's Office's annual reports were due as soon as the President's Office determined a deadline. Summer enrollments were down, but in the same proportion as recorded during the rest of the year. A general discussion took place on the history of the institution, its relation to the culture and industry of the Mahoning Valley, and the use of alumni to deliver significant talks during the centennial. The draft planning/review document was discussed. The formal review and planning process had to begin in the fall. A "debriefing" was given on Spring Commencement. The Provost wouldd develop a process for determining honorary-degree recipients. It was suggested that the President give a "President's Medal" to donors. New faculty orientation and mentoring was discussed. |
