dc.description.abstract | The Summer Festival of the Arts was scheduled for July 10-11. Clean-up for Budget FY10 was underway. Marilyn Ward proposed that colleges charge OEA travel expenses only to the departments, with transfer of funds from the deans' "orgs." Marilyn distributed current ETS assignments by college and any changes had to be approved by the Provost. An initiative to develop the University's next strategic plan was underway and would define goals for 2020, with some short-term goals along the way. The Deans would serve on the large planning steering committee. Dr. Singler distributed the preliminary list of administrative Senate appointments for the 2010-2011 academic year. Nancy White distributed a questionnaire for deans to record college data regarding distance learning and information about current and future plans for programs and /or courses to be offered through distance/alternative learning methods. Tod Porter was to assume the general education coordinator position August 15. Sue Leson was to meet with the deans individually to discuss what programs or departments were interested in using an Assessment/E-Portfolio system during the current year. The Beeghly College of Education Dean Search Committee was being formed. ACE and YSU-OEA will be negotiating contracts during this next academic year. | en_US |
