Ms. Verdone and Dr. Palardy distributed a handout titled "2016 May Graduates General Education Audit." Ms. Verdone explained the handout, the graduation review process and reasons students were not being cleared for graduation. Associate Vice President Swegan announced Experience Y dates for the colleges. Housing numbers were increasing. Provost Abraham stated he has been in conversations with the President and a number of part-time faculty members regarding how to make part-time faculty feel more included in the YSU community. Provost Abraham announced he did not have much more information on the FY 17 budget. The Centofanti lecturer will be comedian W. Kamau Bell. Ms. Ward reported on the following: summer verification reports, NTD forms, overload forms, part-time and ETS budgets, and deficits in department budgets. Interim Dean Crist stated the College of Creative Arts and Communication was recently awarded a $100,000 National Endowment for the Arts Out Town Grant. Dean Sanders state the first graduate application was being processed in the Ellucian system for spring 2017. Associate Provost Ball stated representatives from CourseLeaf would be on campus for training. Deadlines for Departmental Accomplishments were set for June 30. Associate Dean DiPillo announced the breakfast for Project PASS was a huge success. Associate Provost Myers announced that representatives from Lunghwa University would be on campus. Dean Steelant was working with his first donor on a project linked to the Oh Wow! Museum. Dr. Cossentino state YSU was hosting a record number of students for the Summer Honors Institute. Associate Vice President Hripko stated Governor Kasich approved $3 million in the State Biennial Capital Bill for MVIIC. |
