dc.description.abstract This was a regular meeting. President Jones reported on enrollment and space limitations for the coming year. Five faculty members resigned from the University; five members were to return from leave in the fall with eight instructors going on academic leave. New faculty appointments were announced. The number of students receiving scholarships was discussed. Army ROTC’s annual inspection, held on April 30, was reported to the Board. The inspection committee for the Engineers Council for Professional Development visited on April 20 and 21. President Jones reported on graduate placement, gifts, and the urban development program. The Building Committee reported to the Board. The renewal of the Rayen School lease was discussed. The appointment of one or more assistants to President Jones was recommended by the Finance Committee. A representative from the Ohio Board of Regents visited YU to discuss the area’s need for a technical and community college. Approval of degrees and titles for graduating seniors was approved. Trustees would now wear academic regalia during commencement. The Finance Committee reported. en_US
