dc.description.abstract Protests by Arab and Iranian students and arrests accompanied the lecture by Israeli diplomat Abba Eban at Powers Auditorium. Susan Khawaja was named advisor to international students. Students found guilty of forging advisor signatures received harsh punishments. Former Student Government presidential candidate Richard Curry filed a grievance alleging “dirty tricks” by the Anthony Koury campaign. The Kent State shootings were remembered. Cycling was highlighted in a special section. Mill Creek Park was chosen as a training center for athletic hopefuls for the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
