dc.description.abstract YSU will hold an open house in Meshel Hall on October 19. The public will be invited to visit the $15 million facility to see first-hand YSU’s approach to high technology. The building was named for Ohio State Senator Harry Meshel, due to his leadership in planning for the center and for obtaining funding from the Ohio Legislature. John R. Turk, associate professor of music at YSU’s Dana School of Music, will be featured in a public concert on October 13 in the Bliss Hall Rehearsal Hall. A tubaist with both the Youngstown Symphony and the Blossom Muic Bane, will play compositions by William Penn, Paul Hindemith, and fellow Dana faculty member, Edward Largent. en_US
