dc.description.abstract Mary Place Thomas of Boardman, veteran YSU educator, just received her Master's degree in Theology from Duquesne University. Mrs. Thomas, who is Inservice/Recruitment Activities Coordinator for YSU's Education Department and has taught education at the University for 14 years, has also been active in the role of women in today's society and in the Catholic Church. A total of $36,000 has been awarded to 24 high school graduating seniors in recognition of academic achievement as a part of YSU's new Dean's Scholarships. YSU's Office of Continuing Education will offer a four-session course for individuals wanting to increase their word processing knowledge and skills. en_US
