dc.description.abstract	The community lost YSU alumnus Darius "Shack" Shackleford Saturday night in a fatal car accident. Ohio's Lt. Gov. Jon Husted visited the Youngstown area Tuesday to discuss his investment to the community and Youngstown State University. COVID-19 vaccines come to the Mahoning Valley but not to YSU yet. YSU students of diverse backgrounds can take advantage of scholarship opportunities offered by campus organizations as a way to celebrate and acknowledge students' differences in the community. Counseling Services expand their mental health resources. A Q&A with Honors College Student, David Hughley III, is given. SGA starts a "Tuesday Tea Time" podcast to shed light on campus life for students and help those who feel disconnected from the university amid the COVID-19 pandemic. YSU's English Festival enters its 43rd year and its second year hosted online. To celebrate Black History Month, the McDonough Museum of Art will highlight a variety of African American artists online. YSU welcomes incoming art students with virtual sessions. The women's rugby team isn't able to play games yet this season, but that doesn't stop the players from practicing. Events for NIRSA (National Intramural recreational Sports Association) week are given. NCAA Football franchise makes a shocking return. YSU women's basketball team swept Purdue University Fort Wayne this past weekend and set a new record for points in a Horizon League game in their 102-60 victory. The YSU baseball team opens its season in Alabama for a four-games series starting February 19.	en_US
