dc.description.abstract Students can expect changes on campus with new rules and regulations aiming to keep everyone safe during the global pandemic. The merge of the Beeghly Clollege of Education and the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences sparks dissent among faculty, who claim the decision was hasty. The student body elected Student Government Association President Justin Shaughnessy and Executive Vice President Avery Howard. The Bitonte College of Health and Human Services welcomes Jeffery Allen as its new dean. Despite the shut-down of schools due to COVID-19, YSU education majors are still expected to receive field experience through online instruction in local schools. Student leaders and Student Activities discuss changes to Greek life amid a pandemic. The Horizon League Board announced that fall sports will be postponed until further notice as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. YSU announced, coming into Fall semester, student are required to wear face coverings on campus and inside campus buildings. This semester's theme for Welcome Week is appropriately called "Six Feet Apart, but Together at Heart." Anthony Taddeo, a graduate student studying music composition, created Alla Boara, a musical group composed of YSU students who play Italian folk music. Esteemed coach, Ed DiGregorio, dies at 93. Quarterback, Joe Craycraft, encourages the team to carry on and be ready. YSU football season is postponed until Spring 2021. en_US
