dc.description.abstract For the last two years, YSU has taken the conventional settings of classrooms and with the help of technology, has been teaching Ohio inmates business, math and English. The former director of the Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Department said he is optimistic and confident that his successor, former University General Counsel Sandra Denman will be successful. Senator John Kerry visits the Valley and talks to unions. A new YSU course, "Weapons of Mass Destruction," offers students a look in preparing for public disasters. The Northeast Ohio Universities Master of Fine Arts degree program, which will concentrate on the area of creative writing, will combine the resources of YSU, University of Akron, Cleveland State University and Kent State University. A policy concerning profession conduct of YSU faculty and administration recently received approval from the Board of Trustees. The Youngstown State University swimming and diving team has set record marks all season long and hope to continue into the Horizon League Championship. en_US
