dc.description.abstract As the YSU Board of Trustee met Thursday December 2, the YSU community protested program cuts near the fountain on campus. Students who are in some of the 26 programs YSU is choosing to cut spoke out about what they feel the university and future students are missing out on. Benefits of meeting with an adviser before scheduling classes are given. YSU's COVID-19 cases spike with 42 cases for the week of Nov. 28. YSU for Recovery is a program offered to students who are struggling with metal or substance abuse. The Ethics Bowl team at YSU has won the Central State Regional Ethics Bowl for the sixth year in a row. Disability Services and the Center for Student Program have new names this semester and are now called Accessibility Services and the Resch Academic Success Center. Technical writing students discovery the history of popular products as they finish their end-of-semester projects. YSU's Ward Beecher Planetarium is starting its annual Christmas shows on weekends in December leading up to Christmas. YSU is looking into ways of either revamping Kilcawley Center or tearing it down and rebuilding. Theater and dance department professor Todd Dicken sets the stage for a minor in puppetry. YSU's McDonough Museum of Art held an art exhibit for the art pieces created by students in both the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts programs. Seniors at YSU talk about their college experiences and futures. Students mingle on the YSU App. Track and Field expectations run high as they open their indoor track season. The YSU men's swimming and diving team set new school records at the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio. The YSU Athletic department increases the number of student-athletes by expanding some athletic programs. The YSU men's basketball team swept the road trip to Wisconsin to start 2-0 in the Horizon League play. The YSU women's basketball team continued its dominant start to the season extending its undefeated streak to 7-0. en_US
