Dean of the Williamson College of Business and Administration Kelly Wilkinson held a meet-and-greet event for faculty and staff Feb. 11. The YSU history department and the Phi Alpha Theta history honors society will host V.W. Starr's History Across the Humanities Conference for another year with 23 student presentations under the theme of "Memory, Identity and Community." COVID-19 cases hit a new low for this academic year. YSU's William Rayen School of Engineering will be hosting Engineers Week from Feb. 21-25 in honor of National Engineers Week. For the last decade, YSU has held the rank of "top recycling campus in Ohio." Albert Sumell, economic professor at YSU, tells students what to know about inflation. Group X classes offered at YSU provide a space for students to learn about the significance of exercise and how it impacts overall well-being. A reminder is given to let service dogs do their jobs. A concert version of the classic "The Music Man" opens at Ford Theater for one weekend only. Love is in the air at the Youngstown Flea market as it kicked off its seventh season "Made With Love" on Saturday, Feb. 12. Student Activities is hosting a talent show Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 7-9 p.m. in The Hub in Kilcawley Center. The YSU softball team is readying for another stellar season of Horizon League play. The women's basketball team beat Cleveland State 77-69 and Purdue University Fort Wayne 69-55. YSU women's lacrosse team burns out against Duquense. The YSU men's basketball team was taken down by Robert Morris University, ending their six game winning streak. |
