dc.description.abstract Presented are the minutes of the YSU Board of Trustees meeting from September 21, 2022. This was a regular meeting. Presentations were given by the following : Jennifer Behney (associate professor Department of English and World Languages), Jasper Sharpless (senior Anthropology major), members of YSU's Baja Racing team, and Rick Pennian (head coach pole vault) with Wyatt Lefker (senior pole vaulter). Reports and resolutions were given by the following committees: Academic Excellence and Student Success Committee, Intercollegiate Athletics Committee, Institutional Engagement Committee, Finance and Facilities Committee, the Audit Subcommittee, Investment Committee, the Governance Committee, University Affairs Committee and the Executive Committee. President Tressel recognized the following passings : Dorothy Masternick (who established the John and Dorothy Masternick Nursing Simulation Lab), Keith S. Baker (Computer and Information Science faculty), Hugh G. Earnhart (History professor emeritus and Heritage Award recipient), Bernard T. Gillis (former provost), Michael J. Repetski (employee in the Electronic Maintenance Department), Dennis R. Henneman (retired faculty in Theatre and Dance), Aaron D. Bacon (son of Jennifer Kurcon, employee in Financial Aid and Scholarships), Alexandrea R. McCartney (daughter of Rachel McCartney, employee in the Center for Workforce Education and Innovation), Wesley Scott Jr. (father of former YSU employee Brenda Scott), Margaret A. Binsley (grandmother of Jenna Binsley, manager of the Tressel Institute for Leadership and Teamwork), and Donald L. Myers (father of Terri Orlando, academic budget officer). In New Business, the board passed a resolution related to the YSU Future State: Crafting a Sustainable Future in Consideration of the Fall 2022 14th day Enrollment report, Enrollment trends and other pertinent factors, and a second resolution to Create a Division of Workforce Education and Innovation. The Board concluded by moving into Executive Session for the purposes of "consideration of the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of one or more public employees or officials." en_US
