Abstract

Nepalese Student Association celebrates the Hindu festival of Holi, also known as the Festival of Colors. YSU's Department of Cyberlearning is featured. The Tressel Institute for Leadership and Teamwork aids YSU students in developing skills beyond the classroom to make them more marketable as job candidates. For students aspiring to become doctors and physicians, the BaccMed program at YSU is working to prepare them for medical school. The Guins Against Cancer organization will host Relay for Life at the Farmers National Bank Field. The ongoing Addderall shortage is featured. The CARE Team (Concern, Assessment, Referral and Education), serves as a board for students to address personal safety issues for the YSU community. The Writing Centers offers help for students with writing needs. YSU's Penguin Productions will host its 9th annual Federal Frenzy April 22. In the Mahoning Valley, The Labra Brothers have been a staple with their stand-out live performances at local venues with unique Latin sounds. Dr. Patrick Durrell of the Physics and Astronomy department and his research is featured. Steinway Artist and YSU Head of Piano Studies, Caroline Oltmanns, was recognized with a Steinway Top Piano Teacher Award for 2022. Brian Campbell is entering his 15th season as YSU's softball head coach, and he does so with 345 wins, the most in program history. The YSU baseball team dropped 7-25 for the season and 3-8 in conference play. The YSU bowling team was rewarded for its strong season March 29, when it was picked to be in the NCAA Bowling Lansing Regional Bowling Championship Regional round. Over a six-game span with two doubleheaders, the YSU softball team is 5-1 after defeating Niagara University and splitting against Robert Morris University.
