Abstract

Presented are the minutes of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees and Committee minutes from June 6 and 7, 2024. Sterling A. Williams took the oath of office. President Johnson gave his president's report. Resolutions were adopted from the following committees: Academic Excellence and Student Success Committee, Institutional Engagement Committee, Finance and Facilities Committee, University Affairs Committee, and Governance Committee. The Governance Committee of the Board nominated executive officers with Michael Peterson as chair; Charles George as vice-chair; and Anita Hackstedde as secretary. Motion passed unanimously. Chairperson Michael Peterson gave comments. President Johnson presented this year's recipients of the Heritage Award posthumously to Drs. Robert Beede and Dr. Warren Young.
