dc.description.abstract Last week's rash of campus violence - coupled with Youngstown's high crime rate - has numerous YSU students questioning whether they are safe. Fire breaks out near campus Monday night on North Fruit Street and another on the city's South Side. Mark Tumeo, the last of the three candidates for founding dean of STEM College, held an open forum for students, faculty and staff. The Penguin Review will hold a public launching of the longest issue of the magazine since it has been published in 1953. YSU Engineering students display design projects in Moser Hall. The Alpha Omega Pi is holding a benefit dinner for Mart Manning, associate director in the Office of Student Life and an instructor in Counseling and Special Education Department for Student Affairs and Leadership and Practice Masters Programs, who has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. en_US
