dc.description.abstract A “Rally for Higher Education” was staged on Federal Plaza. Columnist James J. Kirkpatrick spoke on the meaning of conservatism. Graduates looking for jobs were forced to look outside the local area, according to Charles Whitman, head of Career Services. Hugh Frost, candidate for mayor, and George Vukovich, the incumbent, debated and answered questions. The Planetarium experimented with a new light show. A slump in the music industry (due to a decline in record sales) affected the Major Events committee’s mission of bringing entertainment to YSU students. en_US
