dc.description.abstract YSU moves forward in its quest to find the sixth president with 34 applicants. Dr. Sherry Linkon met with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching to research what students think when professors use interdisciplinary means to teach a subject. Members of the College of Education and the College of Arts and Sciences won a $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education for the purpose of improving teacher education in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties. A purchasing card will be used for departments and offices on campus with transactions under $500. Path between Maag and Beecher Center to open soon from construction. A joint project by YSU and Cisco Systems will bring Networking classes to YSU. Calendar of homecoming week is given. Penguin Athletes of the Month are Senior cross country and track runner Andrea Cohol and senior YSU punter Anthony Rozzo. en_US
