dc.description.abstract Maag gears up for Y2K. With the release of inmates from the Mahoning County Justice Center, YSU police are left to question whether the increase in crime on campus is a direct result of prisoners being set free. The Black Studies program has changed its name to Africana Studies to broaden the curriculum of the program to include the study of everyone of African descent. Bus service offers parking alternative. The YSU Model U.N. team members took second place honors at the Kent State Lake Erie Contest. re:CREATE is a new program which encourages cycling by local businesses for the organizations' projects. Penguin Women's Volleyball team share first Mid-Con crown defeating Oral Roberts. Cross country finishes third at championships as Andrea Cohol was named the Mid-Continent Conference Female Athlete of the Year. en_US
