dc.description.abstract Spring Commencement 1999 saw 895 graduates receive their diplomas and Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor, Roderick G. W. Chu was granted an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters degree. Article features graduate Judi Schepka, English, on graduating against all odds. Among the 895 graduates at the June 19 commencement, 40 were graduates of the YSU/Ashtabula county Master's Degree Cohort Program. Chinese sculptor, Hou Rong, displays replicas of the long-dead warriors of the China's Qin Dynasty in Bliss Hall. en_US
