dc.description.abstract Douglas (Butch) Yardis was elected president of the 1962 Senior Class. Rose Paini was named Queen of the Engineer’s Ball. A gift of $55,000 was presented to YU by the estate of the late Col. L.R. Boals, former music editor of the Youngstown Vindicator. City voters faced a $9 million bond issue, a highway bill designed to pay for the construction of what became the Madison Avenue Expressway. After losing to Baldwin-Wallace, the Penguin football squad was to face Hillsdale (Mich.) College with a 3-2 record to date. en_US
