Abstract

"Grins from the Grind," is a column of short comments on timely affairs. The Phi Gamma fraternity will hold its homecoming dance in the college auditorium on Jan 1 following the Allegheny-Youngstown basketball game. James Chambers, editor, and Billy Barker, business manager of the Jambar both resign their positions effective after this issue. A "Profit" without Honor article announces that the Student Council of Youngstown College condemns the wearing of insignias of other schools. "Attention Dads" does just that, brings attention on what it is to be a dad or a future dad. Off the Cuff: student opinion deals with Pep rallies and music (or to prefer without music) and the lack of enthusiasm from the student body during rallies and games and as a result the student suggests the formation of a cheering club. The Jambar introduces students to the Gamma Sigma Club in a column about the organization. HLN's Column: From Behind the Desk reflect the Christmas Season. Day and Evening Colleges close the Year's work with a Friendship Circle signifying unity. The Cecilian Chorus under the direction of William Felger, a memeber of the musical faculty of Youngstown College will have a 15 min. program on radio station WKBN December 22. The Jambar interviews Miss North the Dean of Women and Professor of English. The Banal-ology columns covers commonplace events or incidents about the school, and makes them appear interesting.
