dc.description.abstract Student Council, in special session, demanded changes to the disciplinary code. Forty YSU students were set to protest the Vietnam War in Chicago. Writer Gore Vidal was set to speak on campus. The Community of Concern sides with Myron Pifer, who mailed his draft card to President Nixon. The memory of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was honored in three services. Jesse Owens, winner of four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, was guest of honor at the First Annual All-Sports Banquet held in Kilcawley Center. en_US
