dc.description.abstract The movement to reverse the decision of the Board to uphold the dismissal Dr. William H. Hunt (Political Science) transformed into a general protest movement for University reform. A rally was planned by the Student Committee for Academic Reform. 200 students marched for Earth Day. 1,000 students cast ballots in Student Government elections. Faculty promotions were announced. Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority won the Greek Sing competition. Dr. Robert Hare was named president of the YSU Chapter of the AAUP.Tom Reeves, speaker for the National Council to Repeal the Draft, presented a talk in which he urged American men to resist conscription. en_US
