dc.description.abstract Student Government President Dan Crishon announced his intention to veto a measure to allocate $1200 to fund a second NAACP workshop. Hope was expressed that YSU would be the site of a new medical school, despite the decision of the Ohio Board of Regents to place it at the University of Akron. Plans for a new bookstore were revealed. Dame Judith Anderson was to star as Hamlet. WYSU’s director provided advice on a career in radio broadcasting. The Ford Motor Company awarded YSU a $15,000 grant. Senator Birch Bayh spoke at Powers Auditorium. Vandalism continued against the Elm Street School, and construction bids for the new parking deck awaited evaluation. en_US
