dc.description.abstract A melee ensued at Fite Night, causing many to be injured, but not seriously. The University Senate took no action on changing general education requirements. Candidates for Ohio Lieutenant Governor were hosted by the Young Democrats. Student Council passes a modified fee referendum, defusing a challenge from CASE (Committee against Student Exploitation). Ecology groups criticized YSU’s landscaping plan. A federal grant in the amount of $115, 500 was awarded to the University to start a tri-county crime lab. YSU veterans launched a campaign for benefits. YSU’s contingent of 250 students from abroad were highlighted, as was the campus Radio Club and the Fite Night Festivities. en_US
