The 8th annual Great American Smokeout will include a 5K race and encourage smokers to quit. Students give their opinion on the reunification of Germany. Home Economics introduces the Hospitality Management degree. Ellen Sullivan is appointed the new editor of the YSU News Service. The Forensic team wins honors at the Appalachian Fall Classic. The new African-American Student Union aims to create better programming and community involvement. The band Saraya and comedian Sam Kinison help celebrate 95 K-Rock's 1st anniversary. Dana faculty members perform Schubert Octet Opus 166. The football team wins a possible playoff spot. The women's basketball team starts their season.	en_US
