dc.description.abstract Dyann Whaley, coordinator, Women's Programs, formed Just for Us, a support group for single mothers who are attending classes at YSU. In 1994 a YSU Task Force was to create a comprehensive review of fees and charges that would benefit the University by raising funds, but at the same time raise tuition for students. 20 members of the YSU community gather to remember Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during a vigil. University proposes 7,000-seat expansion of Stambaugh Stadium. During Diversity Week, Mary Verdi-Fletcher, founder and director of the Cleveland Ballet Dancing Weels, talked about her life and how she, a paraplegic, came to be a dancer. New programs called "Adults Back to College" is focusing on getting adults and non-traditional students to pursue higher education at YSU. Discussion over the price of text books at the YSU bookstore is given. Lady Penguins win two, move into third place in the Mid-Continent conference. Senior quarterback Mark Brungard has been awarded on of the 29 NCAA $5000 Postgraduate scholarships. en_US
