dc.description.abstract YSU will be one of the eight university in Ohio which will receive budget cuts in 2003. A student, Joshua West, was arrested for attempting to steal items out of a professor's office. Bliss Hall will receive updates including an 18,000 square foot addition. A reception was held for Susan Hertz Khawaja who retired from the position of assistant director for the Center for International Studies and Programs, which she has held since 1978. Dan Kuzma, junior and employee for the YSU recycling program, worked with the program's director, Jim Petuch, to create the campus wide race, called Recycle Mania, to collect the most recyclable materials per building. Sports features an article on Emily Schnitkey on the YSU track team. Construction on Beegly Center keeps the facilities closed. Summer Festival of the Arts is this weekend. en_US
