dc.description.abstract | Student Council and the faculty publications committee ousted the co-editors of “The Neon” yearbook for 1966 for incompetence. A faulty fluorescent light fixture in Ford Hall caused a short circuit and large amounts of smoke, with the crisis ending with the arrival of five fire engines. The Administration issued a letter refusing to change the University’s regulations regarding drinking at fraternity houses and the visitation of such by co-eds. Two state ballot issues designed to aid both Ohio colleges and students were highlighted. The Social Science Club sponsored a symposium on “Changing Ethical Standards,” and Student Council candidates were invited to debate before the YU chapter of the NAACP. | en_US |
