dc.description.abstract Ward Beecher had to be evacuated July 09 when a chemical fire erupted in a Plexiglas cabinet. YSU President Dr. Leslie Cochran is expected to recuperate well after undergoing surgery for prostrate cancer. YSU's Center for International Studies and Youngstown's Chapter of Children's International Summer Villages are sponsoring a Summer Village this summer on YSU's campus. Hundreds of kids invaded YSU's campus as part of the National Youth Sports Program. Robert Dove, retired assistant football coach and health and education instruction, was the recipient of the Heritage Award. en_US
