dc.description.abstract The YU chapter of the NAACP announced plans for a march, while a variety show to benefit the Association was advertised. The Alumni Fund Drive raised over $16,000. The Protestant student group Religion in Life (RIL) changed its name to the United Campus Christian Fellowship (UCCF). At a meeting of the Senior Class only 13 out of over 1,000 enrolled attended. Two members of the YU Newman Club were appointed as provincial officers. Spelunking (cave exploration) was featured, as were the challenges of pledging a fraternity or sorority. The YU Swim Team placed fourth in a meet hosted by the University of Pittsburgh. en_US
