dc.description.abstract "My design is representative of a swirling, polychromatic energy field out of which emerges a penguin. Altering the penguin's natural coloration from black and white to polychrome changes our perception of the bird to something bordering on the supernatural." Tony Armeni has a BFA from YSU and MFA from the University of Cincinnati. His artistic skills include sculpture, ceramics, welding and metal fabrication, spray painting, and site-specific installation. He is the winner of numerous awards and honors at exhibitions throughout the state of Ohio, and has work in permanent institutional and private collections nationwide, including the Butler Institute of American Art, DeBartlo Corporation, and McDonough Museum of Art. He taught art at University of Cincinnati, Trumball Art Gallery, and currently teaches at YSU. en_US
