Youngstown State University Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Calendar

Abstract

Although it is dated "1908" and illustrated with authentic turn-of-the-century advertisements for early Youngstown merchants, this commemorative calendar for Youngstown State University's Diamond Jubilee or 75th anniversary was intended to be a functional calendar for the third quarter (July, August, September) of 1982. In addition to a brief narrative history of the institution excerpted from YSU history professor Dr. Alvin W. Skardon's then forthcoming book Steel Valley University: The Origins of Youngstown State, this calendar lists on their corresponding dates significant historical events from the University's past and the year they occured.
