Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of March 05, 1997

Abstract

Jim Morrison, chair, presided. The Senate Executive Committee discussed the issue of street closings and on a recent policy from the Deans' Council on requirements for student pursuing multiple majors with a single degree and multiple majors/multiple degrees. The Senate Executive Committee will also begin the process of selecting members of next year's Senate Committees. The General Education Requirements Task Force gave an update/report. The Academic Programs Committee noted program proposals were appended to the agenda. The Academic Planning and Budget Committee is beginning to carry the Campus 2000 plan forward. New Business pertains to provisions for student senators.
