dc.description.abstract Tom Shipka, chair of the Academic Senate, presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported on the lack of Senate attendance and announced President Sweet appointed a review committee to examine the Professional Conduct Policy passed at the November Senate meeting. The Ohio Faculty Council reported on campus health insurance plans and on a presentation by Jim McCollum, executive director of the IUC. The Academic Standards Committee motioned That no course designed as intensive may be certified for all three [general education] intensive areas (writing, oral communications, critical thinking). The Motioned was carried. The Academic Programs Committee referred to their report that was attached to the agenda. New Business focused on The Proposed Professional Conduct Policy and Student Government's resolutions on the University calendar and holiday closings and maximum credit hours.
