dc.description.abstract Tom Shipka, chair of the Academic Senate, presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported unless people agree to serve on the committee to study the policy approved by the YSU Board of Trustees approving a waiver of searches, the study will not likely be done; The YSU Board of Trustees approved the revised version of the Professional Conduct Policy; Provost Tony Atwater spoke to officials of The Youngstown Club about a special YSU membership in the club at reduced rates; Tom Shipka gave an update on the Alcohol and Tailgating Committee and the Ohio Faculty Council. The College of Engineering and Technology gave an update. The Academic Programs Committee reported that several program changes had been approved after the required circulation period. In New Business a resolution was passed recommending the Study of Summer Teaching Opportunities for All Full-time Faculty.
