Dr. Jean Kelty presided. Charter and Bylaws Committee reported on the passage of the revision of the Academic Senate Charter, Article 4, Section 1 with a vote of 233 for and 22 against. Nominations for members of the Charter and Bylaws Committee were announced. The Senate Executive Committee reported on appointments to be made the first week of the fall quarter, an ad hoc committee had been appointed to study the relation of the Graduate School to the Academic Senate, and the Presidential challenge of Bylaw 6. Dr. Largent reported on the Faculty Advisory Committee to the Chancellor. Academic Affairs Committee reported on: a revision in the class honors, a four year program in Allied Health, and a change in the name in the Department of Home Economics. The Library Committee reported on problems with the second allocation. The Curriculum Committee reported. The Educational Media Committee reported on the study of the copyright law as it applies to the media center and print shop and a change in the Media Center policy form. |
