Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of March 02, 1988

Abstract

Dr. Rost, Chairman, presided. The Senate Executive Committee reported that the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools visitation team completed their visit and a full ten-year reaccreditation for YSU will be recommended. The committee also reported on Senate membership replacements and new appointments. Dr. Ikram Khawaja reported on the FAC meetings. Elections and Balloting Committee reported on new procedures for Senate elections. The Programs division of the Academic Program and Curriculum Committee reported course proposals. The Library and Media Services Committee reported and moved to increase the FTE student wages be allocated to the Media Center to support restoration of services and permit increased usage of the instructional technology. The Academic Standards and Events Committee reported on a motion to approve a change in the grading standard for the School of Education's Professional Laboratories from CR/NE to CR/NC, and on a motion to approve resolution to assign same privileges and responsibilities as the full-service faculty to all others who teach and assign grades.
