Dr. Jenkins, Chair, presided. Elections and Balloting Committee reported elections of at-large Senators have been completed. The Senate Executive Committee reported that during the next three weeks the Senate Executive Committee and the Graduate Council will be interviewing six presidential candidates. It is motioned that the chairman of the Senate write a letter the state representatives concerning the recent adjustments in the instructional subsidy. The University Curriculum Division reported on course proposals. The Academic Planning Division reported on approved changes in programs in Religious Studies, Philosophy, Geology, Speech Communication, and Emergency Medial Technology. All multidisciplinary minors are required to be approved by the Academic Programs Division. Academic Standards and Events reported on a Transfer Module Draft. The Minority Access/Success Committee reported. The Library and Media Services Committee reported on the VTLS electronic card catalog. Academic Standards and Events Committee motioned to approve Criminal Justice 807 for CR/NC. |
