dc.description.abstract	Dr. Jenkins, Chair, presided. The Elections and Balloting Committee received nominations for Chair of the Senate and members of the Charter and Bylaws Committee. The Senate Executive Committee reported that a new search for the presidency has started. The committee motion to ratify faculty representatives to the Presidential Search Committee. The Academic Standards and Events Committee reported on House Bill 140. The Library and Media Services Committee reported. The Ad Hoc Committee on Quarter/Semester Systems Reported on a preference to semesters but would like to discuss the issue with student members of the Senate. The Global Awareness Committee, a Presidential Committee, reported on its charge to Senate members.
