Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of June 07, 1995

Abstract

Hugh Earnhart, Chair, presided. The announcement was made that there were too few members to constitute a quorum. Issues may be discussed but not actions or motions could take place. The Senate Executive Committee announced it will meet early in the summer quarter to go over faculty preferences and make Senate Committee assignments, four people from YSU will be permitted to speak at the Ohio Faculty Council hearing, and that Cynthia Anderson distributed a draft of the assessment plan. Academic Standards reported on its recommendations for students with deficiencies. The Academic Programs and University Curriculum Committee circulated proposals. Academic Events Committee reported on post-graduation receptions. The Elections and Balloting Committee reported on the lack of nominees running for office and that elections were delayed because college officers had to recruit nominees.
