Abstract:
Presented are the minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Members of Youngstown College that took place on March 19, 1945. The report of an inspection by the North Central Association was read, which included ten points of strength and twenty-two points of weakness. As a result, Youngstown College was refused admission to the NCA. The financial report was submitted. The Library Committee reported that between $41,000 and $42,000 was raised toward a new library building. YoCo was chosen as a veterans testing center by the Veterans Administration. President Jones recommended a provision for providing sabbatical leave to members of the faculty. An honorary doctor of laws degree was approved for bestowal upon Judge James E. Bennett. Three students were recommended for the bachelor of laws degree. Four new members of the Board were approved. Also included are the minutes of the Board’s annual meeting.
