Presented are the agenda and minutes of the meeting of the Board of Governors of Youngstown College on March 27, 1944. The Nominating Committee reported on the election of officers. Enrollment figures showed a decline from 1,142 students in 1943 to 834 students in 1944, with such attributed to the military draft. The YoCo Teacher Training Program was discussed with Supt. Rayburn of Mahoning County and Supt. Maurice of Ashtabula County. Reported was a meeting between Youngstown College and the Youngstown Retail Merchants Board to study a plan for a cooperative program for training girls in business administration. The financial report was included. The annual combined meeting of the Board and faculty was held afterward (see minutes). |
