Abstract:
Presented is the agenda and minutes of the meeting of the Board of Governors of Youngstown College on March 19, 1943. Enrollment figures were presented. The aviation program included 30 naval cadets and proceeded accordingly, even with the transfer of two Waco training aircraft to Purdue University. A new Army air training program was started, including the use of Link trainers. The housing of aviators and the possibility of YoCo becoming a center for Navy training were discussed. Louis Deesz joined the full-time College staff, though he had served as Dean of Engineering for a number of years previously. The North Central Association sent two inspectors to Youngstown College as a prelude to accreditation. A summary of their findings was included in the text of the minutes.
