Presented is the agenda of the meeting of the Board of Governors of Youngstown College on March 27, 1939. Enrollment figures were presented, and the financial report was attached. A program for the training of public school music teachers was approved by the State of Ohio. The Youngstown Foundation granted an increase from $1,200 to $2,500 to assist upper class students during the 1939-1940 academic year. The Friends of the Youngstown College Library Association reported to the Board. Six YoCo law students passed the State Bar Examination. The Salary Committee recommended raises for four faculty members. Alterations to the building at 416 Wick Avenue were soon to be completed, with plans to place the Business and Secretarial School there. The dates for baccalaureate services and commencement were set. The Nominating Committee reported on the election of Board officers. |
